Take a piece of Maine, and Maine Needs with you anywhere! Handcrafted from recycled sails on the working waterfront in Portland, Maine, USA this custom Sea Bag features our Lady Slipper logo designed locally by artist Britt Fabello.
We customized this bag to have 3 interior pockets, perfect for a bottled water, small notepad or sunglasses and a clasp to keep it all pulled together, as well as a small zippered pocket for keys and wallet that reads:
“Lady slippers endure long, bitter, impossibly cold, harsh seasons. And then, they bloom.”
When deciding on the Maine Needs logo, we knew we wanted something that spoke to the resiliency of people who have overcome impossibly difficult chapters of their life. Lady Slippers are rare, endangered and against all odds, this delicate looking orchid invests it’s roots into the soil of Maine forests. They not only withstand the harsh, bitter cold winter season, it is required for their seeds to germinate, it’s part of what makes them bloom.

These bags are absolutely fantastic if you spend any time by the water. Sand, mud and water all brush right off.
